We're upgrading in the coming months and we have a bunch of ideas and features we hope to implement with the next big change. You know us, we're always looking out for you.

So here's another quick poll (last one for awhile, we hope) on one of those said features - we want to know your thoughts that will influence the end result.

We're thinking of adding a message board/forum for you talk to us, discuss the past and upcoming in Malaysia, meet new people, etc - yes/no/don't care?

Sunburst Music Festival 2009


Fans of this year's inaugural Sunburst Music Festival in Malaysia will be pleased to know it will return in 2009. Festival director Razman Razali and his team would like to know which bands and artists you hope to see on next year's line up so here's your chance to put your suggestions forward on their Facebook group. Partake in the 2009 line up discussion and if you're a Nine Inch Nails fan, make yourself heard - the band is keen on playing at Sunburst but there is the need to gauge the local demand before proceeding.

So head on over and tell Razman Razali and his team who you want to see at Sunburst '09!

Kicking off our series of interviews is none other than our July & August Band of the Month, Empires. We couldn't be more stoked to have been given this opportunity, and here's a preview of the interview we had with guitarist Tom Conrad:
Does the name "Empires" have any significant meaning to the band, aside from how it came about?
We just wanted something simple but strong. Empires is a very self-sufficient group and we've always felt the more we can do on our own, the stronger we will be long term. So when Sean and I, coincidentally came up with the name on the same night, made sense to roll with it. Trying to come with a name you want to grow with is a hard thing to decide on. Read more...
